Primates

Primates are ranging from great apes to the lorises. They are bound by certain anatomical and physiological features. They arose 85-55 million years ago.

Introduction

A primate is a member of the mammalian order Primates, which comprises two suborders i.e. the prosimians (lorises, tarsiers and lemurs) and anthropoids (man, apes, monkeys). Primates are found all over the world. They are the third most diverse order of mammals in the world, after rodents (Rodentia) and bats (Chiroptera).
